Rough Draft

1. There are not many, but one of the strengths of this essay would be that it is finally seems to all come togetehr. The Analysis is nicely layed out and I think my research question is strong.

2. Lets see..... everything. I need to still put a lot of work in on this project. It seems as though once I start writing about one conclusion I have uncovered, another one appears and even contradics the former. There is just so much information to pack in that it feels very overwhellming right now.

3. In order to help me, I would like it if my group members focused on the flow and clarity of the essay. Also, I would like them to keep an eye on my uncontolable run-on sentences.

4. I really need to work on the seemingly simple summerization of the artifact. Now that I have gotten so deep into the analysis, it is really hard to step back and briefly summarize this movie in only one page.

5. I just need really need to dedicate the next two weeks to this paper. I need to spend an hour or two a day and then stop. I feel repetitious re-reading will imporve the overall value of this paper.

6. No other specific questions for the group right now, but I am sure I might as well put them on speed dial for their needed support over the next few weeks.

Analysis paper

1. I think my strongest section is the second unit of analysis because it provides a couple of quotes from the convinsing book "Successful Wives, Angry Husbands". I feel this section about the backlash from a man's point of view is very rich with examples and very persuasive.

2. My quotes do deffinately support the apropriate unit of analysis. I feel this one of the strong points of my paper which is I feel is self evident.

3. My examples are very illustrated with good description and relevance to sub-headings.... yay!

4. I think I may need to add a little bit to unit number 1 because it is only 2 1/2 pages. And, of course, I will need to add in my third unit of analysis. I don't think I will be too hard though, just time consuming.

5. I would like my reviewers to just pay attention to the overall flow and consistency of the paper. They should keep me in check if I drift off topic or am too lengthy in my descriptions.

6. This paper went pretty well over all. I was deffinately more organized because I first actually figured out what my Units of Analysis were. Then I watched the movie with a brand new lens in order to cluster the specific quotes and scenes into only one of these three categories.

Critical perspective Paper

1. I feel this paper went pretty well. It was a totally new way of analyzing a movie and therefore took a long time to do with all the research and stuff, but overall- pretty O.K.

2. The Backlash perspective I used to critique "The Stepford Wives" will help me talk about my artifact in a more scholarlly way and on a much deeper level of analysis.

3. The books about the affirmative action backlash really summarized the events which took place as well as the reaction to these events which is called a "backlash". It just helped specify and define what constituts a backlash with historocal eras.

4. I think I need another unit of analysis because I feel that the two I already have are going to code so much, if not all, of the examples from the movie into these categories.

5. The three biggest strengths.... 1) It makes sense. I know that sounds stupid, but I think a lot of the rhetoric flows and is kinda easy to see where I am comming from. 2) I give good examples of my findings and 3) There aren't, (I hope) as many run-ons in this paper as there has been in the last two... I'm at least trying.....

6. The two weaknesses...... 1) Think up another unit of analysis and 2) I should probably find another couple of examples of books where a backlash perspective was being used... But that library is so big and has so many books. It is very scary and overwhellming to go in to!!!

7. Refer to all of the above for needs of improvment. I think once I get that other unit, my perspective will de complete.

1. I feel that over all, this paper was OK. Its not really all that structred though and I feel that that devalues its strength.

2. It was kind of hard for me to cluster the context in three different groups because for me, the social and cultural conditions were the same in most respects.

3. I feel I could have described the reviews that critics had about this movie in more detail. I also feel that I could have gone into more detail about the original and the book, but I think that would have been too much anaylsis for one paper.

4. My three biggest strength are my incoorperation of quotes in my sentences, the descriptive adjectived which are present through most of my sentences, and the anaylsis of major happenings in the end of the movie in regards to feministic beliefs.

5. My two biggest weaknesses would have to be my sometimes lengthy and run-on sentences. and also the begining. There really is no thesis or Intro paragraph in my paper which may lead to some confusion for the readers.

6. I would like my reviewers to focus on how I could maybe structure the paper a little better and divide a barrier between what I need to put for the social conditions compared to cultural conditions.

The Stepford Wives

1. I feel this paper went very well. There is a lot of description about the sequence of events as well as a consistent interpretation of the overall tone and theme of the movie.

2. Yes- Everything went according to plan. I went scene by scene and described exactly what happened to each of the characters and what I think it meant in relation to the main message of the movie.

3. Not really, although I might need/ would like to define the messages behind the Stepford video at the end, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of oportunity to do that.

4. My biggest strengths include my use of adjectives, the emotion that is felt in my sentences, and the passion that I feel I convey in regards to the mindbogaling intentions of a Stepford mentality.

5. The two weaknesses are that I think I kind of did start critisizing and analysing the hidden agenda of the movie instead of just describing the events. I also think I should have made more of a define introductory paragraph.

6. I would like them to focus on teh understanding of the story and if it makes sense. Make sure that if you were a person who never saw this movie before, you could understand what was going on and are not confused by any of the scenes.
